At Natural Bridge, where the Rogue suddenly "disappears" underground briefly and travels through lava tubes, some kayakers have discovered a truly beautiful section of the Rogue. When most people think of the Rogue they think of the enormous rocks at Blossom Bar or the tight squeeze at Mule Creek Canyon. However, miles upstream and just a short drive from Crater Lake, the Rogue offers kayakers a great mix of Southern Oregon's beauty and fun class III/IV creeking.

Here's the run: Put in just below natural bridge. It would be a big error (and probably fatal), to put in upstream. Run some fun whitewater and, if no one you are with has been on the run before, make sure you have good directions as to where the waterfall/portage is. More fun whitewater and take out at the next bridge. Some folks continue on from this point and run Takelma Gorge, which is a step-up challenge wise.
